Take a look in our ready to eat ‘Deli’ counter and you’ll find all sorts of delicious goodies to tempt you. Our pates, canapes and mousse pots are all made ‘in house’ every day, and sit alongside a wonderful selection of cockles, whelks, prawns, crabs and lobsters. Its also where you’ll find huge chunks of our legendary Honey Roast Salmon portions. Smoked in Scotland, these are utterly delicious and really popular.
Dressed Crab & Lobster
Cooked each day in our busy kitchen, our freshly dressed crabs are a real treat. Our large kilo-plus Devon crabs are really impressive – cooked to perfection before being carefully picked and placed back into the shell, these are definitely large enough to share. If one of these whoppers is too large, we also prepare our small dressed crabs. Using ‘Natator’ crab shells and filled with our unpasteurised handpicked Devon crab meat, they’re the perfect size for a light lunch.
Our dressed lobsters are also prepared every day and we usually have a range of sizes available. Throughout the lobster season the counter will be full of these beauties, but as we move into the colder months, as supply dwindles, its always a good idea to pre-order. Carefully cooked, cooled and then split and packed, Dressed Lobsters is definitely one of our signature products.
‘Seafood’ is the term we use to cover all the yummy ready to eat items in our deli counter. Cockles, mussels, prawns, whelks and winkles as well as Surimi (Seafood Sticks and ‘Pinks’). These humble products are amongst the most emotive we offer. Many customers have very fond memories of picking winkles at the table with their grandparents or visiting the cockle sheds when they were children. Its wonderful to hear these stories and know how food can trigger memories of days gone by. Our Kings Lynn Whelks and Leigh on Sea Cockles are hugely popular, and our delicious large ‘Royal Greenland’ peeled prawns are amongst the very best we’ve tasted. And if you just can’t wait to enjoy your haul, we’ve got pepper and vinegar available so you can enjoy them on your way home

We’ve been buying from Mark and the Team at Barneys since we first opened and customers travel for miles to get their hands on them, they are simply the best in the business. Available as portion pots, Party Packs or 90 piece Bowls.
Our little kitchen prepares a selection of products for our ready to eat counter each day. Our smoked mackerel pate is legendary, with many customers willing to ditch the diet for a pot of deliciousness. We also make our own smoked salmon pate, using a blend of Severn & Wye smoked our honey roasted salmon, and our smoked salmon canape blinis are packed with flavour. For something a little more special, we designed our Salmon Mousse pots. Known by many as ‘little pots of love’, these pretty starters have smoked salmon julienne, poached salmon mousse, shards of honey roast salmon and a petal of beetroot gravadlax.
Pre-packed Smoked Fish
Our fabulous pre-packed smoked fish comes from the renowned Severn & Wye Smokehouse in Westbury on Severn. We’ve been using them since our opening and their products are outstanding. As well as their smoked salmon, we buy Traditional and Beetroot Gravadlax, Smoked Trout and Smoked Eel Fillets, Smoked Halibut and Smoked Cod’s Roe.

We stock 3 varieties in 10g, 30g and 50g tins, but can get deliveries of larger sizes with 48 hours notice.
