River Teign Shellfish are a family-run business based in Devon. The River Teign is itself is an impressive 30 miles long and winds its way down along the edge of Dartmoor National Park meeting the sea at the Teign Estuary, Teignmouth, which is where these spectacular mussels and oysters are grown and harvested.
With over 40 years experience in shellfish farming, Matt and his dad are constantly researching new methods of production and continually strive to maintain the delicate ecological balance for a sustainable future.
Harvested daily, their mussels and oysters go through the purification process and are sent up to us on chilled transport, ready to be enjoyed by our customers. They usually feature on our shellfish counter every weekend.
