Duncan has also worked in the seafood industry for almost 40 years. He began his career in the family business, farming trout, but was very soon drawn into the world of retailing. His career covers many aspects of the industry, from independent and multiple retail, to processing and manufacturing.
From Monday to Friday Duncan works at New England Seafoods as their Seafood Specialist, travelling the world and working closely with both the supplier base and New England’s customers. On Saturdays you’ll find him on the block, preparing fish for our customers on our busiest day.
A seriously accomplished fishmonger, he holds many awards for his skill and his impressive party piece is to ‘pocket’ a plaice in well under a minute – his record being just 34 seconds!
